Currently
I'm currently in my first year of my M.Tech in Computer Engineering at San Jose State University, starting in the fall of 2024. I have a strong desire to work in a positive environment that offers a wide range of exposure. I aspire to join a multinational organization with well-defined systems and processes, as well as healthy channels for networking.
In addition, I'm currently working on an exciting secret project, using my development and analytical skills. More details will be revealed soon! 🤫🤫
Some history
My first interaction with computers was around 2006-2007 when my parents bought our first computer. I was around 4-5 years old at the time and, I enjoyed playing games on it.
From my very small age I have been very interested in learning, using and enjoying technologies.
I used to enjoy games like road rash, and cricket games. I might have endangered my mom's dream of using the machine for a better cause(learning).
Only thing I learned on the monitors was how to use Microsoft Excels, PowerPoint Presentation, Word, and Paint.
My journey in programming started in my 6th standard in which we had HTML and a bit of image editing and video editing courses in school. This was the time when I first got scared and frightened of technologies. Nothing went right from there and the distance between me and computers(technology) increased.
I had a phobia of computers and programming languages that kept haunting me until my 11th and 12th standard. I was unable to understand C programming, so I crammed, grinded, drummed, and mugged up the programs to just pass my 12th Exams. But with a little help from friends and tutors, I managed to get through it!
THIS WAS ENOUGH 😤😤😡😡. Computers and programming were haunting me like hell. Taking it as a challenge I decided to make my fear my biggest skill.I got focused, motivated, and anyhow wanted to excel in the programming world.
At 18, I started my B.Tech in Computer Engineering. Later that year my confidence was boosted and my biggest fear became my biggest adroitness.
I started mentoring freshers and untutored students, on the basics of programming and C language. It was a really eye-opening experience and my first step. Teaching is the best way to learn.
Also I made my first ever game in C programming called Candy-Box game. Later I created four more games namely the Food-Snake game (c & c-graphics), Snake and ladder(HTML, CSS & js), and flappy bird (python).
I'm glad to say that I kept on increasing my programming skills over the past year. I learned Java, Java J2EE, Spring, Spring-Boot, AngularJS, and Node.js. Along with this, I also volunteered in campus ambassador work for many nationwide companies. This experience has helped me develop invaluable skills and knowledge that will be extremely useful in my future career.
In 2020 I got my first freelancing project. To date I have completed 5 freelancing projects. It's been a great experience so far and I've learned a lot.
I placed my first step in the industrial world on Sept 21, 2021. I got selected as a software developer Intern at Neerx Techonvate (an IOT-based Startup) and within 6 months I was appointed as a Lead Developer intern where I had to build teams, manage interns, and shape the culture of a junior intern under me.
In October 2022, my professional journey took a significant turn towards cloud computing, AWS, and the serverless world when I joined DistinctionDev as a Software Developer. During my time there, I learned how to build teams, manage people, shape company culture, develop relationships with customers, and work on enterprise products using technologies like Node.js, AWS, and serverless architectures. My primary role as a Software Engineer has given me broad experience across various company tech stacks. I am incredibly grateful to the DistinctionDev team for believing in me, staying positive, and mentoring me throughout this journey.
After two years of intensive learning and gaining industrial experience, I decided to improve my skills further and pursue a postgraduate degree (Fall 2024) in Computer Engineering at San Jose State University in California. This decision marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in my career, driven by my passion for continuous learning and growth.
